Zhiling Bhutan Travels strives to build trust and confidence with our clients by offering a unique Bhutanese experience to travelers based on the traditional Bhutanese values of hospitality and kinship.

We believe in serving and treating our guests in a manner that reflects true Bhutanese hospitality. We welcome you to Bhutan, considered the most exclusive destination in the world, to immerse yourself in its ancient culture, tradition, values and pristine environment.

Bhutan continues to charm travelers with its mystical aura, untouched natural beauty and an age-old culture and tradition that are unique to this nation of just around 800,000 people. It lies between the lofty Himalayan Mountains straddling its northern frontier and the warm temperate jungles of the south.

These features easily make Bhutan one of the most sought after travel destinations in the world. In fact, the Lonely Planet recently named Bhutan as the top country to visit in 2020 out of 195 countries. Bhutan follows a sustainable development approach based on the principles of Gross National Happiness.

Gross National Happiness

Happiness has always been at the core of Bhutan’s development policy, which is guided by the philosophy of Gross National Happiness. The fourth King of Bhutan Jigme Singye Wangchuck stated that happiness is more important than economic growth and subsequently Bhutan adopted the GNH index to measure well being and happiness.

In many countries, GDP (Gross Domestic Product) as the standard indicator of growth has failed to capture the real progress of a society, as it lacks the objective of generating happiness for its citizens.
